SunPower to Install Solar Panels at Air Force Base in Arizona - BusinessWeek:
Aug. 10 (Bloomberg) -- SunPower Corp., the second-biggest U.S. manufacturer of solar power modules, won an order to design and install a 15-megawatt system at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona.
The project will be owned by Pinnacle West Capital Corp.’s Arizona Public Service Co. utility, and the output sold to the base under long-term contract, San Jose, California-based SunPower said in a statement today. Construction will begin in January, creating about 550 local jobs before it’s completed about mid-year."
